PE Jacking Pipe
PE is short for Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance. Usually PE water pipe is applicable to the temperature below 40℃, so unable to be used for hot water supply. The material that is used to make PE pipe is a kind of thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non polarity. The appearance of the original HDPE is milky white, and its thin section shows a certain extent of semi transparent. PE has excellent resistance to most chemicals in our lives and industries. Some kinds of the chemicals could produce chemical corrosion, such as corrosion and oxidation agents (nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride).
The plastic pipe industry develops fast in our country and the quality is improving continuously. At present, the plastic pipe industry which bases on polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) pipe, polyethylene (PE) pipe and polypropylene (PP-R) pipe has initially formed. The polyethylene (PE) pipe due to its own unique advantages is widely used in water supply and drainage pipes for buildings, underground drainage system, building heating facilities, gas transmission and distribution, gas supply, electrical and telecommunication protection casing, industrial pipelines, agricultural pipelines and etc. It is mainly used for urban water supply, urban gas supply and farmland irrigation.
High Density Polyethylene referred to as “HDPE”. HDPE is a kind of thermoplastic polyolefin formed by copolymerization of ethylene. Although HDPE has been launched in 1956, but this kind of plastic has not reached the level of maturity. People are continuously developing new uses and markets for this general material.
Main Characteristics
HDPE at various levels features for an appropriate combination of four basic variables: density, molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and additive. Different catalysts are used for the production of customized special performance polymers. These variables are combined to produce different uses for HDPE grades; and to reach the best balance in the performance.
Product Performance
High density polyethylene is non-toxic, tasteless, odorless and in state of white particle. Its melting point is about 130℃ and the relative density is 0.941~0.960. It has good heat resistance and cold resistance, good chemical stability, but also has high rigidity and toughness, good mechanical strength. Its dielectric properties, resistance to environmental stress cracking is also pretty good.
