Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe is a kind of new cell-forming material made from HDPE. This product is mainly applied to prestressed concrete structure which has advantages of good sealing, no water and motar leakage, high ring stiffness, small friction coefficent, anti-aging, electricity resistance, good flexibility, uneasy to be broken and new connection method. When cell-forming materials are damaged, motar body becomes the last shield for prestressed steel plate in prestressed cement structure.
Advantages
When cell-forming materials are damaged, motar body becomes the last shield for prestressed steel plate in prestressed cement structure. Plastic Corrugated Pipe is a new type cell-forming material. Compared with metal corrugated pipe, Plastic Corrugated Pipe has the following advantages:
I. Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe is made from HDPE, which is anti-acid and anti-alkali with better corrosion resistance than that of metal. So HDPE can effectively protect prestressed tendon from being corroded. Most of prestressed structure have to bear bad effects that surrounding brings such as de-icing salt or salt water. When extensive prestress components lose efficacy due to failure of waterproof layer, microcrack water leakage and blocking of drainage facility, prestressed tendon may be corroded. As shown in cement grouting of prestressed tendon of “FIP Construction Guide (1990)”, metal pipe is short of permanant corrosion resistance and unable to preventing from water leakage to motar body and prestressed tendon. Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe better than metal corrugated pipe can provide prestressed tendon with a protective shield, which can prevent pipe from being polluted by hazard materials, thus making post-tensioning structure have better aging quality.
II. Under the same conditions, the friction coefficient of preserved holes that Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe leaves is obviously less than that of metal corrugated pipe, thus prestressed friction loss during the tension process can be reduced. Generally, the friction coefficient of plastic corrugated pipe is 0.14, while the friction coefficient of metal corrugated pipe is 0.25. Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe has a higher strength, being uneasy to be broken. Its sealing capacity and leakage resistance are better than those of metal corrugated pipe. So Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe is more suitable for vaccuum grouting.
III. Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe is non-conductive which can prevent from corrosion of stray current. So it is a good conductor.
IV. Prestressed Plastic Corrugated Pipe has better durability, namely anti-fatigue ability of components.
